After-school time that helps kids grow, not just get by.
Rising Scholars is a new Seattle after-school program for kids ages 5–13, blending homework support, hands-on enrichment, and real playtime — led by caring, background-checked staff.
Where we are today
We're in our launch phase — finalizing our school location and state licensing. Sign up now to be first in line when enrollment opens.
Enrichment that meets kids where they are
We believe the hours after school matter as much as the hours in it. Rising Scholars gives Seattle families a safe, structured, and genuinely fun place for kids to land at the end of the school day.
Rising Scholars was founded to close the gap between the school bell and the end of the workday — with a program that's more than childcare. Every afternoon combines academic support, creative and physical activities, and unstructured social time, run by a team that's licensed, background-checked, and genuinely invested in kids.
We're currently working with Seattle Public Schools on our first host site and completing Washington DCYF licensing. This site will be updated as those milestones lock in — join the interest list below to hear the moment we do.
- Safety firstBackground-checked staff, licensed ratios, and a facility that passes state inspection before we open.
- Real enrichmentHomework help paired with STEM, arts, and movement — not just a holding pen until pickup.
- Community-rootedBuilt in partnership with Seattle schools and families, not a franchise formula.
- Honest and transparentWe'll tell you exactly where we are in licensing and enrollment — no overpromising.
A balanced afternoon, every day
Our program blocks are designed to give kids what a good afternoon needs: help with homework, room to create, room to move, and time to just be kids.
Homework & Academic Support
Quiet, supervised time to finish homework with help available from staff, plus light tutoring in reading and math.
STEM & Hands-On Projects
Rotating science, engineering, and coding activities that turn curiosity into real projects kids can show off.
Arts & Creative Time
Drawing, crafts, music, and storytelling sessions that give kids a creative outlet after a full day of structure.
Active Play
Outdoor games and movement breaks built into every day, because kids need to move after sitting all day.
Social & Emotional Learning
Small-group activities that build friendship skills, confidence, and healthy ways to handle big feelings.
Snack & Downtime
A daily snack and unstructured free time, because not every minute needs to be programmed.
